Payroll Manager

• Manage end-to-end payroll for approximately 250 employees across Canada.

• Verify accuracy of data related to hours worked, absences, vacation, leaves, premiums, deductions and personnel movements.

• Process complete payrolls on a weekly basis (factory) and biweekly/monthly basis for managers and office staff.

• Process payroll using Employeur D (Desjardins) and record accounting entries in Synerion.

• Ensure payroll governance, compliance and internal controls in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.

• Administer enrollments in group insurance plans, pension plans and RRSPs.

• Produce year-end tax slips (T4 and Relevé
1).

• Complete the annual wage declaration to the CNESST and perform required follow-ups.

• Serve as a point of contact for payroll and benefits-related inquiries.

• Work closely with HR and accounting teams.

• Receive personalized support from the current incumbent to facilitate the transition.

• Reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience.
• DEC in administration, accounting or equivalent training/experience.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Knowledge of Employeur D and Synerion (an asset).
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, autonomy and excellent deadline management skills.

Demonstrates expertise in managing payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with governance and internal controls while maintaining accuracy in payroll data. Proficient in payroll systems and tools, with strong attention to detail and deadline management capabilities.
