These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. In tax accounting services at PwC, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

The opportunity As a Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

• Support team to disrupt, improve and evolve ways of working when necessary
• Managing a variety of projects, including compilations, review engagements, and tax compliance engagements

Here’s what we look for:

• Bachelor's in accounting or in any related field
• Canadian CPA Designation or CPA Auditor and between 8-10 years' experience in a similar role in an accounting firm
• Ability to coach junior staff members and being present in the local market
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Entities (ASPE), CSRS 4200 Compilation engagements, CSRE 2400 Review engagements, Canadian Audit Standards
• Strong communication, and facilitator skills with demonstrated ability to work with multiple personalities
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening and coaching skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
• Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client service

The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English‑speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada.

Salary range: $133,100 - $183,100. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
