Location: Quebec
Elevate your career as a Health and Safety Coordinator with Pomerleau, managing safety protocols for major construction projects across Canada. You'll support site personnel while ensuring compliance with vital safety standards.
As part of Pomerleau's construction health and safety team, this role emphasizes implementing prevention programs for projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager, Superintendents, and Foremen to proactively identify hazards and enhance safety measures across the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with safety standards in prevention programs
• Develop and update site-specific prevention strategies
• Monitor coordination of employer activities on-site
• Identify and address potentially hazardous situations
• Conduct inspections and OHS orientations for workers
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in health and safety preferred
• CNESST certification or attestation
• Minimum 3 years in construction health and safety
• Familiarity with construction project life cycles
• Strong analytical and communication skills
