Join Upper Canada Child Care, an established non-profit licensed provider, as an Assistant Educator. You'll work full-time, engaging children during before and after school programs. Ideal candidates must be ready for split-shift scheduling and possess skills in early childhood development and inquiry-based learning. You will ensure compliance with ministry guidelines while fostering positive experiences for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply Ministry of Education requirements to enhance programs
• Engage actively with children to deliver enriching activities
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress
• Complete daily logs and program reports as needed
• Collaborate with team members and outside agencies
Requirements:
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of developmental needs and program design
• Excellent communication skills with families and professionals
• Physical stamina for supervising children outdoors
• Experience with documentation tools like Storypark
