Become a key part of Elk Island Public Schools as a Bus Monitor at Forest Grove School. Support and ensure the safety of students every day during morning and afternoon shifts.
Elk Island Public Schools seeks a caring and energetic Bus Monitor to join the Student Transportation team. You'll work from August 26, 2026, to June 28, 2027, during school hours, overseeing students on the bus. This role includes greeting students and ensuring their safe boarding, riding, and exiting, all while promoting a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise students boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
• Create a welcoming environment with friendly greetings
• Assist students with diverse physical or learning needs
• Guide smooth transitions at bus transfer sites
• Collaborate with drivers and school staff for safety
Requirements:
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons
• Open to internal and external applicants
• Strong interpersonal skills with children
• Commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive environment
• Reliable and punctual in supporting students
