Elevate Black youth in Scarborough as a Workshop Facilitator for the Black Achiever's Program at YMCA of Greater Toronto. Lead mentoring sessions and foster educational success in a supportive environment.
This full-time position focuses on community engagement, requiring experience in outreach and group facilitation. You will recruit and train mentors, deliver career readiness curriculum, and provide valuable one-on-one support to young participants. Our initiative aims to bridge the gap in educational achievement and create lasting change for Black young people.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain workshop materials for various skills
• Facilitate dynamic virtual and in-person learning sessions
• Document case notes and manage attendance records
• Assist with program marketing and outreach efforts
• Collaborate with team members on participants' progress
Requirements:
• University degree or college diploma preferred
• Minimum of two years of group facilitation experience
• Superior presentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with community resources and education systems
• Commitment to diversity and equity in service delivery
