* Position Summary:

** A unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. A Teaching Assistant works under the guidance and supervision of the Course Supervisor who is responsible for setting the course objectives, content and method of instruction as well as final grades and grading practices of the course. Duties vary by course.

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and be registered in a graduate program at McGill University in the winter 2027 term.  Your duties shall be outlined in the Workload form, to be completed by the course instructor and signed by both parties.  
** Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
** Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person.  Should anything prohibit in-person teaching activities, courses will migrate to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible.  Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, Web Ex] and the McGill my Courses learning management system.  

Teaching Assistants must be available to work the entire contract period.
