Reporting to the Quality Director, your main mission as Quality Engineer - Supervisor will be to help improve the performance of our supplier base and our manufacturing quality.
You will lead teams of Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians and actively interact with suppliers, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, and the scientific team to eliminate non-conformities on the production floor and ultimately optimize the quality of medical and pharmaceutical products delivered to customers. You will lead technical investigations using problem-solving tools, and you will be THE reference on the production floor for the quality of our operations and the manufacturing processes used by our suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervising teams of Quality Inspectors at reception (2) and Quality Technicians on the production floor (2) ;Responding to quality emergencies on the production floor and documenting non-conformities in accordance with regulatory standards ;Intervene with suppliers in the event of non-compliance ;Conduct technical investigations (A3/8D), alone and in a multidisciplinary group ;Perform supplier audits ;Act as a technical reference for Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians ;Act as a Quality reference for Production ;Analyze Quality data and adjust control parameters accordingly upon receipt of goods ;Attend daily meetings with Production team leaders ;Act as a liaison between Production and the Quality group ;May be called upon to contribute to risk analyses during new product development phases ;May be called upon to contribute to process and equipment validation, in support of Manufacturing Engineering ;This position involves close collaboration with Quality Engineers – New Product Development.Skills and qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or any other relevant engineering disciplineMember of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec Order of Engineers)10+ years of relevant experience in the positionFluent in English and French, both written and spokenThe following will be considered assets :
ISO 9001 lead auditor trainingTraining/experience in problem-solving methods (8D/A3)Lean certification (Yellow Belt/Green Belt/Black Belt)ASM Certified Quality Engineer designation
