BBA plans to establish a multidisciplinary team in Abitibi-Témiscamingue in the coming months to better support project and client development in the region. As a member of the team, you’ll work closely with the Montréal and Mont‑Saint‑Hilaire offices and play an active role in developing the Abitibi‑Témiscamingue region and executing projects in the mining, metals and energy sectors. You’ll also have access to BBA’s network of recognized experts, who’ll support you in your assignments and professional development.

• Build and maintain client relationships to increase BBA’s regional presence
• Help define the scope of projects and proposals and assist with multidisciplinary bidding processes
• Assist with numerous control system upgrades, including design, technical specification definition and commissioning, for various mining industry projects
• Liaise with other BBA offices to plan, organize and coordinate projects
• Perform inspections and technical surveys
• Ensure work complies with budgets, estimates, procedures and schedules
• Solve problems using a variety of known and innovative methods and techniques and conduct comparative studies
• Perform commissioning and supervise site work

• Undergraduate degree in automated production engineering or electrical engineering
• At least five years of relevant experience as an automation/instrumentation engineer or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Knowledge of the Electrical Code
• Expertise in pre‑operational verifications and equipment startup
• Expertise in PLC/DCS programming
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• Advanced French and English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients located outside Quebec; depending on current projects, you may need to use English occasionally or daily
• Asset: ability to draft technical documents in both English and French
• Asset: expertise in networking
