Job Summary
Join a strong and established building electrical engineering team of more than 50 professionals based in Montréal. You will be joining the team led by Marie
- Pier Ste-Croix Marquis, recently appointed Director of Electrical Engineering, who brings more than 15 years of experience at BPA and succeeds the former Director of Electrical Engineering in their transition to a pan Canadian Vice President, Electrical role. This role is ideal for someone who has the experience and interest to share knowledge, grow and develop him/herself and the team, with advance technical expertise, and lead impactful projects of varying scale, including new construction, full project lifecycle delivery, and major mandates supported by BPA’s in house experts.
Depending on interest and experience, the position offers opportunities in team leadership, people management, mentorship, or deep technical expertise.
Your Main Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the design, analysis, and verification of electrical systems for building projects
Work closely with engineers, designers, and clients to develop tailored, practical solutions
Conduct site surveys and assess existing installations to develop optimized system upgrades
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications with accuracy and professionalism
Support construction supervision and field coordination to ensure design intent is achieved
Participate in budget estimation and cost analysis for electrical scopes
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
4–10+ years of relevant experience in building electrical systems
Fluent in French and functional to advanced level in English
* Versatility, autonomy, good communication skills
English is essential due to participation in commercial projects outside Quebec and in national projects where all meetings and documentation are exclusively in English.
