Provide preventive and emergency maintenance on Entrust equipment installed at customer sites.
Ensure devices remain operational, addressing both scheduled upkeep and urgent repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electronic and electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on systems including mechanical embossers, thermal image application units, laminators, magstripe/chip data writers, laser engraving, and ultraviolet curing systems.
Conduct routine tasks: cleaning rollers, sensors, cavities; calibrating sensors and data readers/writers; adjusting hardware/software settings; evaluating and replacing worn parts (motors, belts, bearings, sensors).
Use test equipment (voltmeters, laptops) and hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches).
Maintain trunk inventory and submit accurate service reports using dispatch systems.
Respond to service calls promptly and dependably.
Customer Interaction
Engage professionally with customer operations staff, reflecting Entrust values.
Aim to resolve most issues independently, adapting to client environments and norms.
Professional Development
Participate in Entrust-led training and quality initiatives.
Gain competence in relevant software and systems.
Assist junior staff and share improvement suggestions.
Qualifications - Basic Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an electromechanical technician.
Strong troubleshooting skills and PC proficiency.
Valid driver’s license—willingness to travel to customer sites daily.
Flexibility for varying shifts, travel, and on-call availability.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and be physically active (bending, walking).
Bilingual:
English/French
Availability for overtime when required.
Qualifications - Preferred
Associate degree in electronics or a related field (or equivalent training).
Electromechanical/field service experience, ideally including Entrust central issuance equipment.
Skilled with electronic test equipment and digital electronics.
