Junior​/Intermediate Hydrogeologist​/Geoscientist

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Analysis of slug test, pumping test, and infiltration test data to prepare graphical analyses.
• Preparation of Nitrate Impact Assessment, Thornthwaite and Mather Water Balance, and Construction Dewatering calculations.
• Compilation of data and preparation of hydrogeology study reports for land development, construction dewatering, and geothermal projects; including Permits to Take Water and Environmental Compliance Approvals.

HCS Inc is searching for a junior, intermediate, or potentially a senior hydrogeologist with the following knowledge and expertise:

-FULL FLUENCY in written English (grammar, sentence structure, etc.). This is a mandatory requirement for the position, and fluency will be verified as part of the application process.

-A valid P.Geo. License in the Province of Ontario is also a mandatory requirement.

We are looking for someone who can "do what I do" regarding project management, data analysis, and report preparation so I can focus on proposal writing, client relationships, and business development.

This role has a great deal of flexibility - you can generally work when you want as long as you get your work done each week. The role is primarily a "desk job" with a busy schedule of data analysis and report preparation; however, there may be occasional fieldwork (e.g. to cover when a field tech is unavailable) doing everything from drillrig supervision to measuring water levels.

HCS Inc does not have a brick and mortar office and we don't plan to have one any time soon - you can work remotely 100% of the time.

This position suits someone who is ambitious and motivated, and who is willing to take what the position gives and run with it. There will be mentoring and support to encourage your growth, but not the "holding your hands every step of the way" type; more the "here's what you need to know, let's see you apply it" type.

PLEASE NOTE:

You MUST live in Southern Ontario. Applicants from outside Southern Ontario will not be considered. This is not the job to move to Ontario for.

Salary:
Ranging from $80, for a Junior Hydrogeologist. Ranging from $,000 for an Intermediate Hydrogeologist. Senior Hydrogeologist - to be discussed based on level of experience.

Vacation Time:
If your work doesn't suffer you can take vacations when you want. HCS Inc does not have a set vacation policy.
