Site Supervisor and Geotechnical Technician

Type of position: Temporary

As a site supervisor, you’ll be required to work on client sites to ensure work compliance and adherence to site permit guidelines.

• Monitor sites.
• Attend site meetings.
• Write daily reports.
• Write and follow up on non-conformity reports.
• Ensure work compliance:
  • Inspect the construction of ditches, dikes and hauling roads.
  • Control backfill material compliance and quality.
  • Control backfill compaction.
  • Perform basic geotechnical tests.
• Take training, where required.
• Update various logs.
• Ensure continuous communication with the various stakeholders on work sites and in the design offices.
• Manage drillers and perform geotechnical survey work, including soil sampling, geotechnical field testing, installation of monitoring wells and writing factual geotechnical reports.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or an ongoing bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
• Strong skills in writing reports
• Available for short- and long-term assignments at client offices or sites
• ASP Construction training
