You’ll play a key role in creating and optimizing mechanical design plans for our trains, shaping the future of sustainable mobility. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with engineering design teams, project/platform teams, and your peers in the General Studies domain, supporting engineers responsible for clearances and weights to ensure the quality and accuracy of projects.

You’ll specifically take care of creating 2D train plans based on mechanical architecture and performing initial 3D allocations for train architecture, but also supporting weight and clearance studies.

We’ll look to you for:

Performing initial 3D allocations

Supporting weight and clearance studies

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency

Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and tools

Ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical deliverables

Resolving technical challenges related to mechanical architecture

Sharing knowledge and learnings to strengthen collective expertise

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

Degree:
Higher Technician Certificate or equivalent in a relevant field

Knowledge of 2D and 3D design tools and software

Ability to read and communicate in English (including technical meetings)

Understanding of mechanical architecture and design principles

Team spirit and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Creative and effective problem‑solving skills for technical challenges

Attention to detail and precision in delivering technical outputs

Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life‑long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

Enjoy stability, challenges and a long‑term career free from boring daily routines

Work with passionate experts committed to transforming sustainable mobility

Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

Contribute to innovative and large‑scale international projects

Utilise our modern, collaboration‑focused working environment

Progress towards roles with greater responsibility or technical specialisations

Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
