Engage with Sargent & Lundy as an Underground Transmission Line Engineer, focusing on high-voltage line design and project management. This role requires expertise in underground systems and engineering principles.
In this senior position, you'll be responsible for the design of underground transmission lines up to 500kV, including duct bank layouts and structural loading. You will oversee team coordination, manage project schedules, and develop various design specifications to meet client needs. Collaboration with vendors will also be key to ensuring proper material selection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop designs for high-voltage underground transmission systems
• Perform cost analysis and develop project criteria
• Supervise a project engineering team
• Specify procurement needs for materials and components
• Handle cable pulling calculations and installation specifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program
• 7+ years in underground transmission project design
• Experience with XLPE cable design principles
• Proficiency in cable tensioning calculations
• Familiarity with relevant engineering codes
