In this essential role, you will analyze transmission plans and conduct detailed simulations to address the challenges of renewable energy integration. Your responsibilities as a Transmission Engineer include mentoring team members, executing system studies, and tackling transient phenomena to ensure effective grid interconnections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop modeling assumptions for power system studies
• Conduct simulations using EMTP and PSCAD tools
• Analyze and enhance transmission plans for interconnections
• Mentor colleagues in advanced EMTP simulation studies
• Address oscillatory challenges and transient phenomena
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years in power system simulation
• Proficient with network reduction software
• Knowledge of ISO and grid planning processes
• Experience liaising with RTOs and utilities
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering
