Junior Process Engineer; CEP – Advanced Fuels and Chemicals

Position: Junior Process Engineer (CEP) – Advanced Fuels and Chemicals
BBA is seeking a Process Engineer for our Montréal team to provide high-quality expertise and consulting services, and help develop and strengthen client relationships.

Responsibilities

Prepare simple plans and basic calculations

Apply established design and calculation methods

Develop mass and energy balances using simulation software

Select and size process equipment

Draft specifications, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, technical specifications and assessments as well as reports

Where required, participate in various work phases at the office, on site or in a lab

Prepare proposals

Participate in the firm’s development and growth

Carry out commissioning and equipment performance testing

Perform routine inspections or technical surveys

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering

Up to two years of relevant experience in the advanced fuels and chemicals or oil and gas industry

Preferably registered, or eligible to register, with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) as a CEP

Basic knowledge of process simulation

Sound knowledge of statistics and effective analytical skills
