Ciena seeks a Designer in Silicon Photonics with a Master’s or Ph.D., paired with over 5 years of hands-on experience. You'll be responsible for validating chip designs for optical transceivers and ensuring seamless engineering-to-production transitions. Your technical acumen will directly influence performance and reliability in advanced photonic layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and validate innovative photonics chips for optical transmission

• Collaborate with partners to define GDS layouts

• Conduct thorough design reviews ahead of manufacturing

• Prototype modules for mass production

• Continuously enhance performance and yield

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in optics or physics-related field

• 5+ years of integrated circuit design experience

• Proficiency in photonic design tools

• Knowledge of reliability testing methods

• Bilingual in English and French
