Field Project Manager
SANEXEN is seeking a Field Project Manager to join the team on one of our major projects located in the Northwest Territories
.
Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating field activities, managing operational information, and monitoring contractual requirements, while ensuring effective communication between project teams, the client, and other stakeholders. They will also contribute to maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, while supporting the achievement of the project's objectives.
Main responsibilities- Manage and centralize field data;
- Prepare and present project progress reports for the client;
- Act as the liaison with Health and Safety Officers;
- Document the project's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) activities;
- Complete and maintain all required EHS documentation;
- Participate in EHS incident investigations and analyses;
- Coordinate the activities of project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements and project objectives;
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements;
- Monitor project progress using key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Participate in risk management, quality management, and monthly project financial tracking;
- Maintain complete and compliant project documentation;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection processes, project tracking, and work methods.
Sought Profile
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written;
- Relevant education in engineering, environmental sciences, project management, or a related field;
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in the environmental, mining, or construction sectors;
- Relevant experience in project coordination or field operations management;
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills;
- Demonstrated leadership, autonomy, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams;
- Willingness to work in remote locations on a rotational schedule and travel across Canada and, when required, to the United States.
Working conditions
- Fly-in/Fly-out schedule: 4 weeks on, followed by 2 weeks off;
- Transportation and accommodation provided.
