Tasks
Define, implement, and evolve ground support standards.
Guide and support engineers and technicians in applying best practices.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise geotechnical inspection activities.
Follow up on recommendations and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
Actively participate in geotechnical risk management and incident analyses.
Update and optimize the ground control program.
Evaluate needs for geotechnical instrumentation and rehabilitation work.
Collaborate with external consultants and ensure consistency in technical approaches.
Contribute to planning and budget tracking related to ground control.
Demonstrate strong leadership in health and safety.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and procedures.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in ground control or geomechanics.
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Valid general explosives permit.
Completed FMTM modules.
Proficiency in Deswik software.
