Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer at Valmet
Location: Trois-Rivières

Take the lead in mechanical engineering projects with Valmet, handling everything from component selection to complex 3D modeling. This role requires minimal supervision and offers dynamic challenges.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee both simple and complex projects, ensuring quality through adherence to engineering standards and specifications. You will be responsible for developing 3D models and assembly drawings, conducting checks for accuracy, and providing technical support during customer meetings. Your leadership will guide a small team through the completion of designs and solutions for various technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D models and assembly drawings per specifications

• Complete bills of material and release drawings

• Ensure drawings meet quality and accuracy standards

• Participate in safety risk assessments for projects

• Oversee team performance on design projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

• Minimum two years of related experience

• Proficient in 3D modeling and engineering principles

• Ability to supervise design team efforts

• Up to 20% travel may be required
