The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist provides supplemental service support in the areas of conversions, ordering stock, vending solutions, putting orders away, 5S handling of service & equipment, and expediting.

• Supports MSC customer solutions and sales associates.
• Understands company solutions, products, and services, including limited technical product knowledge.
• Supports the implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations.
• Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel at assigned customers.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Unpacks orders, checks accuracy of shipment, and puts stock away at customer locations.
• Ensures appropriate customer stock levels, generates new orders for merchandise, and obtains customer approval to place orders when required.
• Provides communication and feedback to the sales representative and supervisor as appropriate to ensure full customer satisfaction.
• Performs general (5S) housekeeping for service equipment and immediate area.
• Utilizes company technology to complete daily tasks, order generation, tracking, and routing.
• Logs all events daily within the Service Management tool.
• Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
• Fosters the MSC culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s mission.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Supply chain and process improvement experience preferred.
• Customer service experience, including one year of related industry experience, preferred.

• Computer literacy and proficiency in word‑processing and spreadsheet software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Position requires over 80% consistent daily travel within district; occasional overnight travel is also required.
• May need to lift up to 50 lbs. based on customer needs.

Starting at $48,000 - $54,000 depending on experience. Plus bonus and company car/gas card. Compensation range based on similar roles and market conditions.
