Contribute to health resilience as a Health Emergency Management Planner with the Government of Yukon in Whitehorse. Engage in emergency preparedness and planning to enhance community safety and response capabilities.
This full-time term role involves coordinating emergency management and business continuity plans. You will deliver training and evaluate programs to ensure effective health emergency responses. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including First Nations and local municipalities, in a vibrant community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement emergency management plans
• Facilitate emergency preparedness training programs
• Coordinate initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
• Review and assess emergency management plans
• Participate in a 24/7 Duty roster for emergencies
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in public health or related field
• Incident Command System Training (ICS 100)
• Experience in evaluating emergency management plans
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Willingness to travel within the territory
Support Yukoners by enhancing health emergency management systems and prepare for diverse challenges in this critical role.
