Location: Quebec
The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is recruiting for the role of Constable to ensure community safety and support law enforcement. This role involves investigating various occurrences within patrol areas.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old and have a valid Class 'G' driver’s licence. Successful candidates will undergo extensive training and must exhibit excellent communication skills while being physically fit for duty. A knowledge of Mohawk culture is highly regarded for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct investigations into traffic and criminal matters
• Uphold community peace and provide support
• Execute warrants and enforce laws
• Maintain confidentiality in all duties
• Help victims and refer them to services
Requirements:
• Must be a Canadian citizen or resident
• Good moral character with no unsealed convictions
• Certification in Standard First-Aid and CPR beneficial
• Clean criminal record check required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination mandatory
