DevOps Specialist

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code practices with Pulumi, Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloud Formation
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work
• Support the migration of infrastructure and services from Azure to AWS, following best practices and migration patterns
• Implement and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker
• Create reusable infrastructure modules and templates that development teams can leverage
• Maintain and optimize existing Azure infrastructure during the transition period
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Azure Pipelines, AWS Code Pipeline, or Jenkins
• Implement automated testing, building, and deployment workflows for .NET/C# and React applications
• Optimize build and deployment processes to reduce cycle times and improve developer productivity
• Integrate security scanning, code quality checks, and automated testing into pipelines
• Create and maintain deployment strategies including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rollback mechanisms
• Document pipeline processes and provide support to development teams

• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools
• Design and maintain observability infrastructure to track system health, performance, and availability
• Develop and maintain dashboards for infrastructure and application metrics
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems and respond to incidents
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements to prevent recurrence
• Work with development teams to establish SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Optimize system performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency
• Work on daily tasks in collaboration with other members from the platform engineering team
• Partner with development teams to understand their infrastructure and tooling needs
• Provide guidance on cloud best practices, deployment strategies, and architectural patterns
• Support developers with troubleshooting deployment issues and infrastructure problems
• Collaborate with the Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems
• Work with the Lead Software Architect to align infrastructure with architectural decisions
• Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures

• Manage and optimize AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Front, and Route 53
• Implement and maintain secrets management solutions using AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store
• Configure and manage networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers
• Set up and maintain database infrastructure, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
• Implement cost optimization strategies and monitor cloud spending
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and services to improve the platform

• 4+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, and IAM.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Pulumi, or experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloud Formation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for modern applications.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Git Ops practices.
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, and VPCs.
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

• AWS certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Sys Ops Administrator, or AWS Dev Ops Engineer).
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure-to-AWS migrations.
• Knowledge of .NET/C# application deployment and configuration.
• Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, AWS App Mesh).
• Experience with Git Ops tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
