As part of this mission, we are looking for a Microsoft Purview Specialist
, with a strong focus on the technical implementation of information protection and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions within Microsoft 365 environments.
The selected candidate will primarily be involved in advising, designing, and implementing Microsoft Purview
, while also occasionally contributing to other Microsoft 365 security initiatives (Entra , Conditional Access, Intune, etc.).
- Advise and support clients in defining information governance and information protection strategies within Microsoft 365.
- Design, deploy, and configure the various Microsoft Purview capabilities, including:
- Information Protection (sensitivity labels, encryption, automatic classification policies)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for Microsoft 365
- Data Lifecycle Management and Records Management
- Insider Risk Management and Communication Compliance
- Translate regulatory, legal, and business requirements into concrete technical controls within Microsoft Purview.
- Assess clients’ current posture in data governance and information protection, identify gaps, and lead the implementation of recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, compliance, and legal teams to ensure a coherent integration of Purview controls within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Participate in the configuration and optimization of related Microsoft 365 components, such as:
- Entra (identity and access, conditional access)
- Intune (device management and compliance, app protection)
- Collaboration services
- M365 Copilot / Microsoft Foundry security
- Produce high‑quality deliverables: target architectures, DLP policies, assessment reports, and executive recommendations.
- Support clients with change management, documentation, and, when needed, internal team training.
- Maintain continuous technological watch on the evolution of Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, and best practices in information governance.
- Degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview, ideally including:
- Sensitivity Labels and encryption
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Data Lifecycle / Records Management
- eDiscovery, Insider Risk, or Communication Compliance (an asset)
- Strong general knowledge of Microsoft 365, including:
- Entra (Azure AD), conditional access, and identity management
- Intune and device management
- Microsoft 365 security and compliance
- Ability to understand regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., privacy laws, sector‑specific standards) and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and professional writing skills.
- Ability to work in complex environments and influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications are considered an asset, including:
- Microsoft SC‑400
- Microsoft SC‑300
- Other certifications in security, compliance, or information governance
The selected candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain and simplify complex technical and governance concepts to various audiences. While being primarily francophone, they must be able to work and present in English, as some of our clients are located in English‑speaking regions of Canada.
