This role is part of our ET/UT product line.
The incumbent of this position participates in the Research and Development activities of industrial non‑destructive testing (NDT) systems operating by electromagnetic, ultrasonic and visual inspection methods. As a member of the artificial intelligence team, the candidate will be required to develop machine learning and deep learning solutions applied to the processing, classification and characterization of the data produced during NDT inspection.

This is a stimulating challenge, which will lead the candidate to contribute to the development of innovative solutions in a context rich in challenges.
In addition, the candidate will be able to become familiar with several NDT techniques, each presenting particular and unique analytical challenges. The result of the development will have a concrete impact on our data processing software, which is used by thousands of customers every day around the world. To achieve these objectives, the candidate will be supported by a dynamic development team and will work closely with the other software and application teams of the group.

As Data Scientist, you must be able to
Participate in the analysis of needs, the design of models, and the definition of the technical specifications of AI solutions (classification, detection, segmentation).
Design, train, evaluate, and optimize artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms that address the complex challenges of inspection data processing.
Develop robust data pipelines: cleansing, selecting, transforming, augmenting, normalizing, and structuring datasets.
Participate in the choice, definition and implementation of model quality and performance metrics, aligned with product objectives. Ensure their rigorous monitoring of the evolution of these metrics and produce clear reports, popularized as needed.
Influence the technical direction of the team by making recommendations, supported by scientific results and data analysis, on the technical approaches to be adopted.
Validate existing AI solutions, identify their scientific debt, and propose, test and validate avenues for improvement.
Participate in the software integration of the solutions developed, in close collaboration with the software developers.
Collaborate with application teams and product managers to define specifications and evaluate the performance of developed AI solutions.
Help the team maintain a high scientific level by monitoring good practices in data science.
Be on the lookout for technological and scientific developments in the fields of artificial intelligence.
What makes you an asset to our team
Master's or PhD in computer engineering, software, mathematics, operations research, statistics, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline;
Two years of experience as a data scientist or similar role.
