Summary
The main function of the UX Researcher is to conduct quantitative research on customers’ needs, preferences, and behaviors related to products and services within the Bing ecosystem. A typical UX Researcher is responsible for designing and conducting experiments, A/B tests, telemetry analyses, and surveys. They should be skilled at translating large datasets into compelling stories and actionable insights that highlight customer needs and help inform the product roadmap.
This role sits within the Coherence and Framework team, requiring the ability to operate efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly evolving design systems and continuously changing SERP experiences. The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, collaborating across multiple partner teams, and supporting experimentation and design convergence efforts at scale.
Job Responsibilities- Design, conduct, analyze, and report on quantitative UX research projects, including telemetry analysis, A/B tests, flights/experiments, and surveys.
- Analyze experiment, A/B testing, and telemetry data to identify patterns, themes, customer pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create presentations, dashboards, and storytelling artifacts to communicate findings and recommendations to engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership stakeholders.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure research insights are incorporated into product development and design decision‑making.
- Support rapid experimentation and iteration cycles across evolving Bing SERP experiences.
- Collaborate with the Coherence and Framework teams to evaluate design system convergence, usability impact, and consistency across experiences.
- Work effectively within a dynamic setting where design patterns, systems, and UI frameworks continue to evolve through experimentation and live flights.
- Help drive user‑centered decision making through scalable quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience using AI applications and tools to analyze data and create compelling storytelling artifacts and presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer empathy.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage time in a fast‑paced environment.
- Expertise in quantitative research methods, including:
- Experimentation and A/B testing
- Telemetry analysis
- Survey design and analysis
- Behavioral data analysis
- Ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.
- Familiarity with evolving design systems and experimentation‑driven product development.
- Comfortable working across ambiguity, rapid iteration cycles, and changing product directions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or equivalent training required.
- 5–7 years of experience working as a quantitative UX Researcher on consumer products required.
- Experience working on large‑scale consumer‑facing platforms, experimentation systems, or search experiences is preferred.
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is between CAD $ - $ annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
