IT Obsolescence Program Officer Position

Location: Quebec

Join as a Program Officer for an innovative IT obsolescence initiative, focusing on the efficient decommissioning of legacy systems. Engage with key stakeholders while leading this transformative project.

This senior role demands extensive experience in managing IT programs, particularly in phasing out outdated systems. You will coordinate multiple project managers' activities, assess dependencies and risks, and shape the strategic IT roadmap in negotiation with the VP of IT. Regularly report program progress to the steering committee to ensure stakeholders are kept informed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the IT obsolescence program from start to finish

• Synchronize project managers for effective collaboration

• Analyze inter-system dependencies and assess risks

• Negotiate with the VP of IT to shape the roadmap

• Provide regular updates to the steering committee

Requirements:

• Over 15 years in IT project/program management

• Background in Quebec's insurance sector

• Experience with decommissioning legacy IT systems

• Knowledge of waterfall and Protected methodologies

• Bilingual in both French and English
