Transform regulatory reporting as a Senior Data Engineer with VLink in Montreal, QC. Leverage Databricks and Snowflake to enhance data workflows and reporting accuracy.
In this hands-on 12-month contract role, you will migrate legacy ETL systems to modern data architectures. Your expertise in Scala and Spark will drive the development of efficient pipelines while collaborating with a range of data technologies to ensure compliance with stringent reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Migrate legacy ETL pipelines to Databricks/Snowflake
• Develop and test Spark applications using Scala
• Create SQL queries to analyze complex datasets
• Oversee performance-oriented schema design in Snowflake
• Implement automated parity checks and reconciliation tools
Requirements:
• Extensive experience with Scala and Spark
• Strong command of SQL for data analysis
• Knowledge of Azure architecture and security principles
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools
• Background in modern data engineering methodologies
