As a Senior Advisor, Insurance Risk Oversight, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining iA’s insurance risk management framework while providing independent oversight of insurance risk exposure across the organization.

What You Will Accomplish With Us- Lead the enhancement and execution of the Insurance Risk Oversight Framework, aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Provide oversight of insurance risk exposures, including mortality, morbidity, longevity, lapse, catastrophe, and expense risks.
- Assess key actuarial assumptions and methodologies used in pricing, reserving, and capital models.
- Provide independent review and feedback on new product decisions and pricing decisions.
- Contribute to the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and Stress Testing programs from an insurance risk perspective.
- Develop and maintain insurance risk dashboards, KRIs, and reporting for Senior Management and relevant committees.
- Monitor emerging insurance risks, insurance sector trends, and regulatory developments, and provide proactive insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate reinsurance arrangements and strategies from a risk perspective and support enhancements to the reinsurance decision framework.
- Review reinsurance contractual terms and clauses to ensure alignment with group-wide insurance practices and harmonization standards.
- Support sectors in applying sound risk management practices, ensuring that product development decisions comply with the risk management framework.
- Promote risk culture through education, training, and guidance across the organization.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, or any other relevant training.
- Has a minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance or actuarial roles, ideally with a focus on risk management or oversight.
- Is recognized for their strong understanding of life and health insurance products, pricing, valuation, and capital frameworks.
- Stands out for their analytical mindset, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior management.
- Writes clearly and concisely, producing well-structured reports and documentation.
- Builds constructive relationships and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Considers French speaking and writing skills an asset.

The typical hiring range for this position starts at 115000$ per year; the proposed base salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
