ABB Canada is seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to drive seamless sourcing strategies for mechanical components. This hybrid role requires a strong foundation in supplier management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends. You will collaborate across various functions, engaging with suppliers to support manufacturing operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement commodity strategies for mechanical commodities

• Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract management

• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor performance

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize sourcing practices

• Manage supply chain risks through proactive strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field

• Minimum 10 years experience in strategic procurement

• Strong background in sourcing mechanical commodities

• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP

• Bilingual in French and English
