Permanent | 7/7 Schedule (11.5 hrs)
IntroductionOur client, a well‑established underground gold mining operation in Québec, is seeking a Senior Technician to support both surface and underground geology teams. Reporting to the Surface Exploration Manager, this role is responsible for full core facility management, supervision of labor personnel, and logistical support to drilling programs. The position plays an important role in ensuring operational efficiency, environmental compliance, and strong health and safety performance.
Responsibilities- Supervise a team of laborers performing core‑related activities.
- Plan and assign daily work within the team.
- Conduct reconnaissance of past and future drill sites.
- Support geologists with drill setup in the field and on lakes.
- Manage and maintain core facility equipment (rock saws, pumps, vehicles, etc.).
- Oversee full core box management: retrieval, opening, organization, and labeling.
