The Road Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical maintenance activities for the truck and trailer fleet. They supervise the team of mechanics, ensure that work complies with safety and quality standards, plan preventive and corrective maintenance, and act as a technical reference within the garage.

Team Supervision and ManagementSupervise, coach, and mobilize a team of heavy vehicle mechanicsAssign tasks based on operational priorities and skill setsEnsure onboarding, training, and development of employeesEnforce occupational health and safety rules and intervene in case of non-complianceMaintenance ManagementPlan and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleetEnsure compliance with Ministry of Transportation, CSA standards, and internal proceduresDiagnose or support complex mechanical diagnostics (engine, transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical)Validate the quality of repairs before returning vehicles to serviceOperational and Administrative ManagementEnsure maintenance, inspection, and repair records are up to dateCollaborate with external suppliers (inspection, specialized maintenance)Manage priorities based on operational needs and emergenciesParticipate in continuous improvement of garage work methodsHealth, Safety, and EnvironmentEnsure compliance with OHS procedures, PPE, and daily inspectionsIdentify risks and propose and implement corrective measuresMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentExperience
DEP in heavy road vehicle mechanics (asset)Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanicsPrevious experience in supervision or team leadership (asset)Experience in an industrial environment or with truck fleetsExcellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsComfortable with maintenance tracking software/toolsStrong leadership and hands-on approachStrong organizational skills and ability to manage prioritiesAutonomy, rigor, and ability to work under pressureExcellent communication skillsGive meaning to your career and help us make a difference: become a transformation champion!
