Laundry Aide at AgeCare

Join Age Care as a Laundry Aide, dedicated to maintaining a well-kept and safe laundry service for our residents. This role focuses on essential laundry responsibilities in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

As a Laundry Aide, you will support our mission to empower residents through meticulous laundry services. You will sort, operate machines, and ensure the safe transportation of laundered items. This position requires adherence to laundry best practices while maintaining a clean work environment and high supply standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate items based on laundering requirements

• Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons

• Fold, hang, and hand iron garments post-laundering

• Perform minor mending and repairs as needed

• Transport clean garments to appropriate locations

Requirements:

• Previous laundry operation experience preferred

• Understand basic laundry techniques and practices

• Minimum public-school education;
Grade 12 Diploma preferred

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety

Support residents at Age Care by ensuring their laundry needs are met with professionalism and care.
