Airport Maintenance Position in Puvirnituq

Location: Quebec

The Kativik Regional Government seeks an energetic Airport Maintainer for its operations in Puvirnituq. Focus on maintaining airport infrastructure and handling heavy equipment in this full-time role.

Reporting directly to the Airport Manager, this permanent position allows you to work collaboratively with KRG personnel and users of the airport. You'll be responsible for maintaining runway and taxiway surfaces, managing equipment, and performing building repairs as necessary.

Your role will also involve conducting safety checks and completing essential documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment for airport maintenance jobs

• Maintain surfaces and access roads at the airport

• Oversee airport grounds and navigational aids

• Conduct minor repairs on equipment and buildings

• Prepare and submit necessary administrative reports

Requirements:

• Experience in heavy equipment maintenance preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

• Basic computer knowledge required

• Bilingual capability in Inuktitut, English, or French

• Willing to work additional hours when necessary
