Senior Technical Expert – Packaging

Reporting to the Technical Leadership Team and working at the intersection of applied research and operational support, you will serve as a technical expert for manufacturing facilities, helping optimize packaging performance, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to the development of manufacturing best practices.

• Conduct studies and trials aimed at optimizing corrugated packaging manufacturing processes;
• Analyze material properties and their impact on product performance and converting processes;
• Identify root causes of technical issues and recommend sustainable solutions;
• Develop and lead innovation, continuous improvement, and process optimization projects;
• Oversee the evaluation of new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing methods.

• Define and structure projects based on production, quality, or innovation challenges identified within manufacturing plants;
• Collaborate closely with operational teams and multiple manufacturing sites;
• Coordinate laboratory activities and oversee the analysis of test results;
• Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to stakeholders;
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and progress of technical initiatives.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline);
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment related to packaging, corrugated products, pulp and paper, or performance materials;
• Strong understanding of corrugated converting processes, printing, cutting, or packaging conversion;
• Demonstrated experience managing technical or scientific projects;
• Proficiency with statistical and data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent;
• Ability to influence and mobilize multidisciplinary teams without direct authority;
• Strong analytical mindset, scientific rigor, and proven problem‑solving skills.
