SummaryWe are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join maternity units across British Columbia. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients while supporting newborn wellness and family‑centered care. The ideal candidate is confident in acute maternal‑child health environments, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and thrives in collaborative interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide direct nursing care and ongoing assessments for maternity and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal well‑being during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Assist physicians and healthcare teams during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
- Provide newborn assessments, monitoring, and routine neonatal care
- Support breastfeeding education, newborn care teaching, and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to obstetric, neonatal, or medical emergencies
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and allied healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary communication and patient‑centered care planning
Location:
Maternity units across British Columbia
Shifts:
Days, nights, weekends, and rotational schedules depending on site requirements
Environment:
Acute care maternity and maternal‑child health settings supporting mothers and newborns
– What You’ll Bring
- Current practicing registration with the relevant provincial nursing regulatory body in British Columbia
- Active BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in maternity, labor and delivery, postpartum, or acute care settings
- Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn nursing care
- Experience supporting labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and neonatal assessments
- Knowledge of fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency response
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
- Commitment to patient‑centered, family‑focused, and culturally safe care
- Ability to work independently in dynamic and fast‑paced healthcare environments
