Community Nurse at CMC Chisasibi

Location: Quebec

Provide essential nursing care in Chisasibi as part of the Community Miyupimaatisiiun Centre. Engage with clients' health needs and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal care.

As a Community Nurse at CMC, you will serve the local population through direct client care, evaluations, and personalized treatment plans. This role emphasizes cultural awareness and the implementation of health promotion strategies. You will take part in teaching activities, patient assessment, and may also engage in research initiatives to enhance community health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care tailored to patients' bio-psycho-social needs

• Collaborate with the clinical team for comprehensive health evaluations

• Implement treatment plans and health education initiatives

• Participate in community outreach and support activities

• Engage in health research to improve preventive care

Requirements:

• O.I.I.Q. membership in good standing

• Two years of nursing experience in direct client care

• Knowledge of Cree culture and health issues

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Fluency in English and French;
Cree is an asset
