Job Description
EOSOL Group is seeking a Port HSE Professional to develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and security programs within port and terminal operations.
The professional will ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong Zero Incident safety culture, perform site risk assessments, and oversee safety during heavy-lift operations, vessel handling, equipment maintenance, and contractor activities for wind energy components.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across port operations.
- Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective action management.
- Oversee permit-to-work programs (LOTO, lockout/tagout, confined space, work at height, hot work).
- Monitor compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Verify contractor safety performance, training, and certifications.
- Provide HSE oversight during vessel loading/unloading, cargo handling, heavy lifting, and rigging tasks.
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and environmental awareness sessions.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, logs, and regulatory compliance reports.

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred, or 5+ years of practical experience managing HSE systems.
- 3+ years of HSE experience in port operations, marine terminals, heavy logistics, or project cargo.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Knowledge of heavy lifting operations and basic rigging & slinging principles.
- Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental, and port regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.
- English required.
- French required for Quebec.
- Schedule determined by vessel unloading schedules
- Availability to support emergency response activities outside normal business hours when required.
- Physical ability to work outdoors, walk long distances, climb stairs, and board vessels.
Preferred credentials and training:
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- First Aid / CPR / AED
- ASP Quebec Construction Training – mandatory for Quebec.
- Independent Contractor / Freelance engagement.
- The professional must be able to issue invoices for services rendered.

- The contractor is responsible for their own tax obligations, insurance, and business expenses.
