Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Wind Turbine Maintenance Quality Coordinator to support our wind turbine maintenance operations, with a strong focus on turbine platforms and standards. This role is responsible for ensuring all work performed onsite meets company, client and regulatory quality requirements while driving continuous improvement across projects.
Position Details
Rotation/Shift: 6 weeks on and 1 week off (optional); standard schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 12 hours per day. Varies with project and client requirements.
Start Date:
Approximately May 25, 2026.
Duration: 3 months (may vary with project and client requirements).
Rate: $30.00 - $40.00 (based on experience and certifications).
Location & Travel:
Quebec; flights and accommodations provided.
Please note a pre‑employment D&A will be required for this position.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures aligned with client standards and specifications.
Ensure all work complies with company, client and regulatory requirements.
Conduct audits, inspections, and quality checks on ongoing and completed work.
Review and verify documentation including work packs, inspection reports, and turnover packages in accordance with client documentation and QA/QC requirements.
Oversee and validate critical bolting activities, including torquing and hydraulic tensioning of structural components (tower flanges, blade connections, drivetrain components).
Ensure adherence to client bolt‑up procedures, torque/tension values, and tightening sequences.
Support implementation and compliance of digital/smart tensioning systems, ensuring full traceability and accurate data capture for critical joints.
Verify proper calibration and use of torque and tensioning equipment in line with client requirements.
Identify non‑conformances, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with Site Managers, HSE, and technicians to ensure quality compliance across all site activities.
Track and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators.
Participate in client and client audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
Maintain strict control of QA/QC documentation, including bolting records, calibration certificates, and turnover packages.
Requirements
Proven experience in a Quality Coordinator or Quality Lead role within wind energy, preferably on turbine platforms.
Experience working with Vestas towers would be considered an asset.
Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards.
Demonstrated experience with torquing and hydraulic bolt tensioning practices on critical wind turbine components.
Familiarity with specifications, technical documentation, and QA/QC processes.
Experience working with digital torque tools and smart tensioning systems, including data logging and traceability.
Experience conducting audits, inspections, and managing non‑conformance processes.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and procedures.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
Ability to work onsite in a field‑based or remote environment.
Education
Post‑secondary education in a technical, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality, inspection, or field operations role.
Basic understanding of quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar).
