Become a Quality Control Technician with Gay Lea Foods in North York, ON. This full-time role ensures compliance with critical food safety and quality systems.
In reporting to the Quality Manager, you will check compliance with SQF and HACCP standards throughout the production process. Your critical technical skills will enable you to perform product testing and maintain laboratory protocols for accurate quality assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily analysis preparation and testing
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Keep accurate records through computer data entry
• Monitor and maintain laboratory cleanliness and supplies
• Collaborate closely with production staff on quality issues
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in the food sector
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Microbiology or Food Science
• Knowledge of HACCP and food quality practices
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required
