We are looking for a Director – Quality and Food Safety who is recognized for their thoroughness, organizational skills, and ability to engage teams around best practices. This role combines leadership, operational presence, and continuous improvement to ensure the compliance of our products and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory programs across production, packaging, and storage operations.
- Supervise the Quality team, coordinate inspection activities, on-site audits, and follow-up on non-conformities.
- Prepare, coordinate, and ensure the successful completion of audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and operations teams to quickly resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Analyze quality indicators, customer complaints, and observed trends to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, audits, and quality management systems.
- Experience supervising a team and managing priorities in an operational environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in spoken and written French.
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
