Lead impactful community-driven research initiatives with the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government. The Community-Based Researcher and Project Lead will coordinate engagement, knowledge building, and project management tasks.
As a key member within the Executive Office, you will drive efforts that enhance Mi’gmaw governance, law development, land stewardship, and community participation. Your responsibilities will include leading research activities, synthesizing information, and developing governance-related materials in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead community-based research activities through interviews and focus groups
• Prepare engaging written summaries and reports to aid decision-making
• Plan and facilitate community meetings and workshops
• Develop communication updates and presentation materials
• Advance community awareness initiatives through engagement activities
Requirements:
• Education or experience in research, Indigenous studies, or social sciences
• Proven ability to conduct community-based research effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Mi’gmaw culture is a strong asset
