Fiber Optics Application Scientist Role

Our client, a recognized leader in specialty optical fibers, seeks an Application Scientist to report to the Application Laboratory Manager. You will craft continuous-wave and pulsed laser systems to test the optical fibers developed by R&D. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and characterize optical fiber products

• Design and develop laser systems and amplifiers

• Conduct simulations of photonic systems

• Analyze performance testing and present results

• Communicate findings to the design team

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Physical Engineering or Optoelectronics

• Minimum three years in a photonics laboratory

• Strong knowledge of optical fibers and systems

• Hands-on experience with fiber laser assembly

• Bilingual in French and English
