The Role

We're looking for Masters and PhD researchers to work with leading AI labs — designing complex, high-level problems that push the boundaries of machine reasoning. Your academic rigor and research instincts won't just sit on a shelf here. They'll be put to work building the next generation of AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI industry experience needed — your advanced research background is exactly what we're looking for.

What You'll Do
Design and solve advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world relevance that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
Apply your domain expertise to develop complex problem statements that expose gaps in AI understanding
Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs for academic rigor, logical depth, and technical accuracy
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model performance
Ensure clarity, depth, and scholarly precision across all deliverables
Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
Hold a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a leading university
Have a strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project work
Think rigorously — you approach problems with structure, depth, and intellectual honesty
Communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in written English
Self-motivated and consistent when working independently without close supervision
Comfortable engaging with challenging, open-ended problems across disciplines
Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
Background spanning multiple STEM disciplines or cross-domain research experience
Familiarity with AI tools or model evaluation frameworks as an end user
