Sales Engineer Position Overview

Our client is a company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of sealing solutions for the civil engineering sector. Its products are used in major projects related to environmental applications (solid and liquid waste containment, particularly in the mining sector), hydraulic infrastructure (dams, reservoirs, canals), and transportation infrastructure (roads, railways, and airport runways).

As part of its growth, the company is looking for a Sales Engineer to develop the English-speaking Canadian market.

Reporting to the Canadian management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and promoting a range of technical sealing products within the civil engineering market
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through proactive prospecting
• Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve and exceed annual targets
• Developing and maintaining a customer base including clients, distributors, installers, engineers, and other industry stakeholders
• Conducting customer visits and participating in business meetings across the territory
• Representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
• Delivering technical presentations to customers and partners
• Collaborating with stakeholders to support product specifications within projects
• Providing technical support tailored to customer needs
• Preparing and presenting quotations
• Providing technical training to installers on job sites
• Following up on ongoing projects to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintaining regular communication with management

• English-speaking provinces across Canada
• Frequent travel required

• Competitive base salary of up to $130K, depending on experience
• Annual performance-based bonus of up to 10% in the first year, with potential to increase thereafter

• Minimum of 3 years of experience selling technical products
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering
• P.Eng. designation required
• Excellent English communication skills;
  French is an asset
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex technical solutions
• Experience or an established network within industries such as mining, hydraulics, waste management, energy, or oil & gas is an asset
• Field/construction site experience is an asset
• Strong business development skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Ability to build and maintain long‑term business relationships
• Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze markets and identify growth opportunities
• Strong team player with the autonomy to execute responsibilities independently
