Director of Business Development

Position: Director of Business Development at IQVIA

Elevate business growth as the Director of Business Development for IQVIA's Emerging Bio Pharma sector. Lead a team to drive sales strategies and develop valuable client relationships across the West and Mid-West.

This senior director role focuses on establishing a robust business development program aimed at enhancing organizational growth. You will manage staff, direct business activities from initial contact through to contract award, and collaborate closely with senior management in strategic initiatives. Your expertise in CRO services sales will be critical in achieving sales targets and nurturing mid to high-level biotech contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage team performance and career development

• Implement effective sales programs for growth

• Guide junior sales staff in relationship building

• Monitor Customer Account Plans and business targets

• Lead proposal preparation and defense meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management

• 15+ years in CRO services sales, including management

• Proven ability to develop biotech relationships

• Strong understanding of drug discovery principles

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
