  12‑hour shifts (Day and Night)
• Payrate: $20.50 per hour

• Patrol hospital grounds, parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits.
• Monitor surveillance systems and report incidents immediately.
• Control access points to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, including medical, fire, or security threats.
• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff.
• De‑escape tense situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Document daily activities and incidents in accurate reports.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement.
• Enforce hospital policies and address violations appropriately.

• Ability to obtain a security license in Nova Scotia.
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR – Level
  
  C.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Previous security, law‑enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Certificates in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
• Applicants lacking UOF/MOAB may opt into Paladin’s training program before onboarding.
• The training is not paid;
  Paladin covers all costs with a 6‑month commitment.
