Job Description
As Security Coordinator, you will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining security clearances for Davie employees under the Contract Security Program and the Controlled Goods Program. You will serve as the point of contact for all matters related to security programs and will actively support the Industrial Security Programs Administrator.
Responsibilities
Manage personnel security clearances as part of security programs for contracts and controlled goods, from the creation of the file through to the granting of clearance and any updates required by regulations, including gathering relevant information from employees to ensure forms are completed accurately.
Assist employees with applying for a police clearance certificate and with security clearance applications conducted abroad, as needed.
Follow up with government agencies regarding any inquiries, questions, requested additional documents, or other requests.
Assist the Human Resources department in interpreting the results of pre‑employment background checks on candidates regarding the security clearance required by the Contract Security Program.
Assist the Contract Security Program Administrator in her role as a point of contact for Davie’s subcontractors, as well as any other tasks related to access controls under the government contract.
Serve as a point of contact to inform individuals involved in the government contract about employee clearances under the two federal programs.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards related to security programs for contracts and controlled goods.
Assist employees in adhering to various procedures (movement of controlled goods, management of access to secure areas, etc.).
Assist the access card office in performing tasks related to the access control system.
Qualifications
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in secretarial studies or have other relevant experience.
Have at least one year of experience in an administrative role.
Fluency in English is required, as the incumbent will be required to interact with English‑speaking clients.
Demonstrate tact and discretion.
Demonstrate teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
Successfully complete the background check process and obtain the security clearance required under the Federal Government’s Contract Security Program.
